Beloved COPEFC Members,
With each new day, may you be found walking in the newness of life.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.
4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5 ESV
“Much as our words reveal to others our hearts and minds, so Jesus Christ is God’s “Word” to reveal His heart and mind to us. “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John 14:9). A word is composed of letters, and Jesus Christ is “Alpha and Omega” (Rev. 1:11), the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. According to Hebrews 1:1–3, Jesus Christ is God’s last Word to mankind, for He is the climax of divine revelation.”~ Warren Wiersbe
“In the beginning was the Word…” This is so powerful, let’s dig deeper!
"In the beginning was the Word” signifies that the Word had no beginning; it existed eternally, prior to the creation of the universe and the linear concept of time.
"The Word was with God" reveals an intimate and inseparable bond between the Word and God. They are distinct entities, yet they share a profound unity and co-existence.
"The Word was God" proclaims the Word's divine essence. It is not simply a creation of God but possesses the same divine nature and attributes as God.
Will continue this next week and will visit how we can apply this to our daily walk.
You are LOVED!
Please pray for the PEACE of ISRAEL.
